The latest example we have come across is just over the river from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne's quayside in Gateshead. The Gateshead container village comprises rusted old shipping containers that have been transformed into a brew pub, By The River Brew, and a number of other eateries.
On weekends it sees a hawker market, HWKRMRKT, with a wide variety of food stalls in an alley made up of shipping containers, including Gateshead's first vegan eatery the Grumpy Panda.
