Towage contracts for five European ports will be added to the existing 22 ports already served in the region, including Rotterdam where Svitzer began operations on 1 June. Bremerhaven, Sines and Liverpool are also included in the European expansion.
Down under, Svitzer will provide towage services in Brisbane, Port Botany, Melbourne, Port Adelaide and Fremantle for the French line.
"At Svitzer we are excited about the expanded cooperation with CMA CGM. We will continue to work closely together to continuously improve vessel turnaround time in the ports. This will naturally be done by closely liaising with pilots, port authorities and terminal operators," commented Marc Niederer, md of Svitzer Europe.
"The agreement with CMA CGM adds to our strong portfolio of customers. We look very much forward to this national cooperation with CMA CGM/ANL and assisting them in discovering further value within the extensive vessel network in which they operate," added Mark Malone, md Svitzer Australia.
