The design has been tailored to meet future regulations for up to 1200cu m of type II chemicals, with improved visibility from the bridge.
Optimised for significantly lower fuel consumption, the vessel’s key features include a battery system, as well as hull shape developed to enable more efficient operation. The superstructure and engine room design maximises deck space and reduces noise and vibration.
“Wärtsilä ship designs consistently raise the bar for shipping in terms of efficiency and sustainability, and this state-of-the-art PSV design is yet another example of this,” said Riku Pekka Hägg, vp Wärtsilä Ship Design. “We are the leading ship designers of North Sea PSVs and our designs reflect the company’s extensive experience and capabilities.”
