Hosting a session on Day 1 – Investing in people: key to long-term crew retention – this panel discussion includes industry heavyweights including: ATPI’s Global Head of Cruise Logistics, Calypso Diareme; and Director Client Success Management Asia, Bhavna Pant.  Other panellists include: Orel Federman, CEO, Nautical Miles Club; Dr Michela Terrei, Organisational and job psychologist IMA assessment and training centre/PhD researcher, University of Chieti; Anthony Kaufman, Chief Commercial, Marketing and Sales Officer, Mitsui Ocean Cruises; and Artur Pankowksi, Crew sourcing – special projects, MSC Cruises.

Crew wellbeing is more than just a buzzword; it’s a fundamental component of retaining top talent, ensuring high productivity, and fostering long-term growth in the cruise industry. The panel discussion will explore how investments in crew wellbeing lead to improved morale, productivity, and retention in an industry that depends on high levels of human performance and satisfaction.

In addition, the panel will examine how different sectors of the maritime industry — from luxury yachts to large-scale cruise ships — are taking a proactive approach to crew wellbeing. The speakers will dive into detail around innovative programs, emerging research on psychological resilience, and the role that destinations and travel play in supporting the mental and physical health of crew members.

The evening of Day 2 will see ATPI & Qatar Airways – platinum sponsors of the overall event – host an ATPI/Qatar Airways & Kadmos after party.

On Day 3, ATPI is also joining a discussion exploring Conflict & Geopolitics: protecting and supporting seafarers.  Jochem Hemink, its head of sales shipping Europe & Asia, is part of a 5-strong panel discussing the challenge to protect and support seafarers and will look at practical measures being taken by operators and agencies most acutely impacted. The panel will also consider what lessons are being learnt that will influence protection, training and welfare support processes of the future.
