ISSA 61 to run as part of Seatrade Maritime Middle East, Dubai Maritime Week
The annual International Shipsuppliers & Services Association's (ISSA) Convention, along with its local National Association, UAE National Ship Suppliers Association (UNSSA), is staging its 61st Convention in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This year’s convention will be held during the Dubai Maritime Week and as a partner of the Seatrade Maritime Middle East event. The convention will run from 31 October to 2 November 2016 and is a must-attend for maritime industry professionals to connect with leading shipowners, managers and suppliers; learn the latest market trends and innovative solutions; and explore new business opportunities.
According to Saeed Al Malik, Chairman of UNSSA, the decision to host the 61st Convention in Dubai as part of Seatrade Maritime Middle East was a strategic inspiration to ensure its members were able to be part of the ISSA itinerary but also benefit from the exhibition and conference programme offered by Seatrade.
Al Malik said: “I have known the Seatrade team for a great many years and it is an exciting opportunity to be aligned with the exhibition and for our members to benefit from the numerous networking opportunities offered throughout the event.”
The ISSA Convention has just unveiled part of its speaker line up for the conference element which has been titled ‘Coping efficiently with challenges & embracing the digital age’.

Seatrade Maritime Middle East, part of Dubai Maritime Week, takes place from 31 October to 2 November at Dubai World Trade Centre exhibition halls. The three-day event includes an international exhibition; conference programme and networking opportunities throughout. On day one evening, there is the Seatrade Maritime Awards Middle East, Indian Subcontinent & Africa, which are held at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai.
