Collaboration for Transition - CMA Shipping agenda & overarching super themes announced

CMA Shipping 2023 agenda
CMA Shipping returns to Stamford, CT on March 21-23 2023, and has curated a highly valuable and relevant agenda for this year’s anticipated three-day conference, expo, gala dinner and networking event.

Centered around the theme ‘Collaboration for Transition’, this year’s edition of CMA Shipping is set to give audiences a valuable insight into where we are in the journey. With a broadening sustainability mandate across industries, shipping will play an increasingly important role in the decarbonization of supply chains. While meaningful emission reduction through optimization of existing assets shouldn’t be discounted in the near term, zero-emission shipping will require the production and scaling of low-carbon fuels as part of the broader energy transition.

At the same time, the industry is facing increasingly frequent and turbulent events, be they geopolitical, economic or climate related. To deal with these systemic challenges, the maritime industry must build into its very core reliability and agility, but even more so, collaboration.

CMA Shipping will address multiple topics which fall into the following streams – Energy Transition; The Human Element; Digitalization and Big Data; The Business of Shipping; State of the Industry and of course, the popular Commodore Debate.

Seatrade Maritime Group Director Chris Morley commented: “Offering access to practical knowledge and strategic insights is paramount to a valuable use of our community’s time and we are very excited about this year’s powerful conference program.”

He added: “Confronting decarbonization is at the top of every company’s agenda and CMA Shipping will host a series of interactive seminars, keynotes and case studies, that will be led by the most influential, innovative and pioneering minds in the maritime industry.”

“Complimented by the free-to-attend expo, where visitors will be able to see and evaluate the latest solutions entering the market, CMA Shipping will provide the ultimate opportunity for shipping professionals to prepare, protect and propel their operations through supply chain challenges that continue to emerge,” concluded Morley.

A series of opportunities to participate in CMA Shipping 2023 are available from conference passes to exhibition booths and sponsorship, and as always, the event is already attracting significant engagement.

Those wishing to book their place are encouraged to do so as soon as possible as the event is proving extremely popular.
