Marintec China, the showcase event for the Chinese Shipbuilding and Maritime Industry, has today confirmed that the 21st Edition of the event will now take place from 28 June – 1 July 2022 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), NECC.

This has been rescheduled from December 2021 on direct advice from the Chinese Government and key partners due to continuing COVID-19 public health concerns.

Marintec China provides a unique platform for the Chinese and international Maritime community to come together and share the latest innovation and technology driving the industry forward, an opportunity to discover new products and services, exchange ideas and develop new relationships.

Having had an enforced absence for the last two years due to Covid-19, the Chinese Maritime community is keenly awaiting the return of the event, which provides a focal point for commercial activity and business development in the region. This is reflected in strong and enthusiastic support for the necessary rescheduling of the event. The new dates in June provide the earliest possible opportunity to bring the industry together at a suitable location, providing the best possible solution in the circumstances for both Chinese and international participants. Whilst rescheduling can create some challenges for stakeholders, we will be working closely with all our partners and the wider Maritime community to provide full support and ensure the 21st Marintec China is as vibrant and valuable as ever for the industry.

The venue for next year’s Marintec China will be the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai (NECC), a state-of-the-art complex built by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government, consisting of multiple exhibition halls, a plaza, restaurants, a high-end hotel and a metro station. Situated next to the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, it is the largest single building and exhibition complex in East China, providing the perfect location for bringing together the Maritime Industry at Marintec China.

Following next year’s event in June, it is expected that the 22nd edition of Marintec China will return to its traditional calendar dates of December 5-8th, 2023.

Marintec China will continue to join hands with the global maritime industry during this challenging period. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Shanghai June 28th – July 1st, 2022.
