Nor-Shipping has fallen victim of the omicron variant with the delayed event due to take place in January 2022, postponed for a second time.

As result of increasing Covid-19 infection rates due to the omicron variant Nor-Shipping has postponed its event scheduled for 13 – 15 January 2022, the event was previously delayed from June 2021.

Nor-Shipping Director Sidsel Norvik said they had taken a responsible decision even though Norway’s regulations still allow for large scale exhibitions

“In a very fluid pandemic situation, with rapidly rising infection rates here in Norway and elsewhere, we believe the time has come to postpone our January programme and try and create some clarity for our exhibitors and participants,” Norvik commented.

“With that in mind, we will be spending the coming days carefully assessing the situation and planning the best route forwards. Our job is to serve and support this great business community, and we’re committed to doing so in a safe, responsible and considered manner.”

A final decision on the timing of the next Nor-Shipping is expected by the end of the week.
