CDB Leasing acquiring nine bulkers

China Development Bank (CDB) Leasing is acquiring nine bulk carriers from New Dayang Shipbuilding.

CDB Leasing has entered into a series of vessel purchase agreements via nine wholly-owned special purpose companies, with New Dayang Shipbuilding, for nine 60,000-tonne bulk carriers at a total cost of $261m.

The deal is beneficial to fully leveraging the advantages of the parties and increasing the market share of the company in the vessel market, sad CDB Leasing.

CDB Leasing and New Dayang Shipbuilding had established long-term cooperation relationship. The shipyard has constructed over 20 vessels for China Development Bank Leasing.
