First Ship Lease appoints banker to cfo role

First Ship Lease Trust (FSL Trust) has appointed the head of ship finance for Hellenic Bank, Markus Wenker, as its new cfo.

The Singapore-listed trust said that Wenker would take over as cfo from 4 May when current cfo Alan Mitchell retires.

Wenker will bring with him over 14 years in ship finance, having established the ship finance unit at Hellenic Bank and prior to that worked at HSH Nordbank and its predecessor Hamburgische Landesbank from 2002 to 2016. He moved into ship finance in 2005.
