Former Euronav ceo Paddy Rodger, who left the tanker company in early 2019 to take up his current role as director at Royal Museums Greenwich, has joined the board of Dr Ravi K Mehrotra’s Foresight Group as non-executive director of the shipping and offshore drilling company.

The move follows his acceptance of a similar role at shipmanagement and marine services’ supplier V.Group a little more than a month ago.

Foresight executive chairman and founder Mehrotra commented that his group was “privileged to have Paddy’s extensive networking within the shipping industry, experience in building and developing a fleet of tankers and demonstrable communication and leadership skills,” all of which would help the company “expand in Shipping and drive growth in a post-Covid world.”

“Ravi Mehrotra is a friend of long standing well known for his dynamism and magnetism so his invitation to join the board of Foresight is irresistible,” said Rodgers. “I look forward to working with his great team.”

In his full-time role with Royal Museums Greenwich Rodgers is in charge of the UK’s national Maritime Museum - the world’s largest - as well as the Royal Observatory, historic tallship Cutty Sark, and Queen’s House.
