Finalists announced for the 'Oscars' of the maritime & shipping world in Dubai

History will be made at this year's Seatrade Middle East & Indian Subcontinent Awards as the 10th anniversary is celebrated with a record number of winners, a record number of attendees and two new awards.

The awards, which honour individuals, organisations and companies across different categories for their achievements and exceptional contribution to the region's maritime and shipping industry, will be held for the 4th consecutive year at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai on November 18th.

The 29 winners will be announced during a glittering 10th anniversary celebratory dinner attended by more than 900 of the shipping and maritime industry's who's who. Two new awards will be presented for the Seatrade Maritime Excellence Award and the Seatrade Chairman's Special Award.

The evening will be attended by the esteemed judging panel who selected the finalists from more than 140 nominations as well as Master of Ceremonies, Yalda Hakim, the acclaimed BBC World News broadcast journalist.

Since the first edition of the Awards in 2003, the Awards Ceremonies attendance has regularly increased over the years, with more than 900 enjoying the 9th chapter of the awards in 2012.
