Seatrade Announces Finalists for the Seatrade Asia Awards 2014

Seatrade Announces Finalists for the Seatrade Asia Awards 2014
48 entries have made it to the shortlist of finalists for the prestigious Seatrade Asia Awards 2014 organised by Seatrade, one of the leaders in comprehensive global maritime communication and shipping awards schemes.

Now in its 7th year, the Seatrade Asia Awards offers an unrivalled opportunity for organisations to demonstrate excellence, innovation, dedication and outstanding service in the Asian maritime sector.

The entries and nominations were received from companies active in the Asian maritime industry for their achievements and meritorious measures in the previous 12 months in 12 award categories. The entries were adjudicated by an independent panel of judges based on a set of fair and transparent criteria.

"Asia's dominant position in shipping and shipbuilding, and as a generator of cargo, is now an established fact," says Chris Hayman, Chairman of Seatrade. "As a result this region is a centre of innovation and experimentation for the global maritime industry. The Seatrade Asia Awards focuses on this creativity and seeks to recognise the individuals and organisations which are driving it, as well as those with the long term experience to bring it to life."

It will indeed be a night to celebrate the innovation, dynamism and strength of the Asian maritime industry and the key players who have dedicated so much energy to it. The winners will be announced at the Seatrade Asia Awards gala dinner on Monday, April 7th at the InterContinental Hotel Singapore. Held during the Singapore Maritime Week, the evening will see over 300 shipowners, charterers, managers, shipbuilders, lawyers, bankers and other stakeholders in the Asian and international shipping community, come together to honour the winners and celebrate what the finalists have accomplished in the past year. There will also be the presentations of the Personality of the Year, Young Person of the Year and the Seatrade Lifetime Achievement awards.

Visit www.seatradeasiaawards.com for more information about the Seatrade Asia Awards and how you can book your dinner place.
