Donsotank orders two LNG-powered tankers at Wuhu Shipyard

Sweden’s Donsotank has ordered two LNG-fuelled oil products and chemical tankers at China’s Wuhu Shipyard.

The 22,000-dwt newbuilds, scheduled to be delivered in 2021, will be designed by FKAB for low resistance hull features.

“The vessels are ice strengthened to ice class 1A, LNG driven, shore connection for port operations, prepared for 1000 kWh battery-pack and several other advantages for flexible and stable transports,” Donsotank stated.

The vessels will be commercially managed by Gothenburg-based Navix Maritime Chartering.
