The newbuilding is slated to be completed in 2017.

The LNG carrier will be designed by Norway’s LNG New Technologies (LNT), incorporating its novel containment system LNT A-Box based on an IMO independent tank type A, equipped with a full secondary barrier.

In January 2014, Xiamen Shipbuilding successfully completed a mock-up testing of the LNT A-Box, witnessed by class surveyors ABS, BV and DNV GL.
