PSA has entered an agreement to acquire Turkish logistics company Alisan logistics to extend its reach in Türkiye.

Subsidiary PSA-BDP Turkey Supply Chain Solutions Pte will acquire 75% of the shares of family-owned Alisan Logistics, subject to regulatory approval and closing conditions. Alisan is a logistics company with services across fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), chemicals, automotive and agrobusiness. The company will be placed under PSA BDP, the group’s newly rebranded cargo solutions arm.

Alisan is headquartered in Istanbul with 1,600 employees and 39 warehousing sites.

PSA said the acquisition will allow it to benefit from Alisan’s local expertise and presence in Türkiye, while Alisan can leverage PSA’s broad network of rail and inland terminals and other services.

PSA’s Group CEO Tan Chong Meng said: “We strongly believe in the long-term growth potential of Türkiye and this investment re-affirms our strategic focus in extending PSA’s network and capabilities to serve cargo owners. Leveraging PSA BDP and Alisan’s combined and complementary strengths, we will offer our partners and customers comprehensive end-to-end contract logistics and transportation service offerings in Türkiye and beyond, to bring us closer to our mission of enabling smoother, more resilient and sustainable trade.”

Banu Damla Alisan, Vice President on the Board of ALISAN, said: “Today we are taking our biggest step forward in our 38 years of (family) company history. This acquisition is a best-fit for both companies and specifically for Alisan as it means the accomplishment of our future growth strategy.

“It is a new chapter enabling us to move forward and progress our services and operations on a much wider global scale and strength for our customers. We have been a globally known brand of Türkiye and now we embrace the next step towards becoming a global player with the experience, knowledge and presence of PSA with us.”
