Lars Kastrup appointed ceo of APL
Lars Kastrup is the new ceo of APL taking over from Nicholas Sartini who move to be deputy ceo of CMA CGM’s logistics foray CEVA Logistics.
Taking up the helm at Singapore-headquartered APL Kastrup is no stranger to the company or the region. Between August 2016 and August 2017 he was president of APL USA and prior to that headed CMA CGM’s Asia office as regional vice president from 2014.
Immediately prior to moving to be ceo of APL he was executive vice president assets of CMA CGM, heading up CMA Terminals, CMA Ships, Container Logistics as well as regional carriers such as MacAndrews, OPDR and Mercosul.
Kastrup joined CMA CGM in 2007 and started his career in AP Moller – Maersk.
Sartini, who was ceo of APL since its takeover by CMA CGM in 2016, started as coo and deputy ceo of Geneva-headquartered CEVA Logistics from 1 January this year. CMA CGM has taken a 33% stake in CEVA Logistics.
