WWL introduces Spain to South Africa, Australia serviceWWL introduces Spain to South Africa, Australia service
Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) has introduced a new, twice-a-month service from Spain to South Africa and Australia.
February 18, 2014
The latest route from the car carrier owner/operator will depart Santander and offer additional capacity and extended port coverage calling at South Africa before heading down under.
"WWL is excited to support manufacturer needs for ocean transportation from Spain to South Africa and Oceania", said Ramon Oliete, head of Iberia branch for WWL. "In 2013, a total of 1.9m cars were produced in Spain. Of that amount 90% or 1.7m cars were exported. As we expect the shift toward greater manufacturing in Spain to continue, it becomes important to strengthen export-bound ocean service here."
The service will use flexible RoRo vessels, capable of carrying cars, rolling equipment and breakbulk.
