Furuno showcases new X-band marine radar
Furuno is at Marintec China 2019 displaying its new IMO-compliant X-band solid state marine radar.

Muneyuki Koike, Senior Managing Director, Divisional General Manager, Marine Electronics Division of Furuno, explains the features of the X-band Solid State Radar to Seatrade Maritime News.
SM: How long has Furuno been exhibiting at Marintec China?
MK: We've been here for many years, longer than 10 years. And all the time we see the expansion of the maritime industry in China and also the peripheral countries like Japan and Korea and also important to Europeans to.
SM: Furuno has launched a new X-band Solid State radar, can you please tell us more about it?
MK: We already had a Solid State radar S-band lower frequency radar, but now we introduced X-band higher frequency Solid State Radar.
Solid State Radar and chart radar means that the chart images are overlaid on screen. Among many radar manufacturers, Furuno is the first to introduce both X-band and S-band into IMO compliant vessels.
