The conversation between Jacob and Paul focuses on Wärtsilä's BridgeMate app - a smart backup and decision support tool to enhance safety and efficiency onboard

Discussions look at how the app can enable Masters to help avoid situations where parametric rolling of the vessel can occur. Parametric rolling is a serious issue for the industry causing the loss of cargo containers overboard, and dangerous sloshing of cargoes such as LNG, as well as dangers to the safety of the crew.

The conversation also covers the ease of adopting the system and its requirements.
