As well as her role at METIS, Eleni is President of HEMEXPO, Vice Chair of Sea Europe, a member of the board at Helmepa an active member of WISTA and of the Propeller Club. 

Speaking with Seatrade Maritime News Europe Editor Gary Howard, Eleni discusses the cultural change in the maritime industry that is bringing forward more female leaders, the steps employers can take to make a career in maritime more inviting to women.

Eleni covers her career from being taken onboard vessels by her father as a child through to her multi-faceted currents roles. The conversation weaves AI and ChatGPT through cyber security and the importance of proper ship operations.

Eleni also talks about the product offering at METIS and gives a brief preview of her presentation on weather routing which she will give at CMA Shipping 2023 in March.
