As part of AAL’s expansion of its tramp division in cooperation with PD, the new route will connect mature and developing markets with regular fixed sailings, flexible port calls and multiple classes of modern heavylift MPP vessels, offering a solution for the transport of project, breakbulk, container and dry bulk cargo.

Marc Willim, general manager of AAL’s tramp & projects division, explained: “We operate liner services between Asia-North Pacific and Asia-Australia and two semi-liner trades between Asia-USG/USEC and intra-Asia. These services will soon feature regularly published schedules and departure lists, for easy customer reference.”

John Jensen, general manager of chartering at PD, added: “We’ve addressed customer demands for a more regular and defined schedule, in combination with present tramp flexibility for off route contracts and requirements. With our joint geographical set up (PD Europe-Africa/AAL Asia, Middle East & North America), we’re more than ready to master all global challenges.”
