The acquisition of British company Mann Lines will expand Swedish shipping company’s reach in Baltic region and Northwest Europe.

Wallenius SOL has acquired Mann Lines provider of liner ro-ro and container vessel services, logistics and forwarding.
The Swedish shipowner said the deal would both expand its fleet and its port network stretching from the Baltic countries to Northwest Europe. This would include new offices in UK, Estonia, and Latvia, as well as an expanded presence in Finland, Germany, and Benelux.
Mann Lines will add around 200 new clients to Wallenius SOL’s customer portfolio. An upcoming newbuilding for Mann Lines will also be added to the fleet which it said has a proven efficient design for hull and propulsion, aimed at reducing emissions.
“The integration of services will enhance our expertise, broaden our offerings and foster thriving partnerships. With Mann Lines Logistics’ knowledge and years of experience operating container services in Northern Europe, we are well-equipped to deliver even greater value to the industries and communities we serve,” said Elvir Dzanic, CEO of Wallenius SOL.
Wallenius SOL said both companies would work closely to ensure a seamless transition for employees, customers, and partners.
