Bahri sells general cargo as it renews fleet

Riyadh: The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) has sold one of its old general cargo vessels for scrap at a profit of SAR19.5m ($5.2m).

Bahri sold the vessel Saudi Diriyah for SAR30.3m after it said she had completed her useful life. It is the second general cargoship Bahri has sold this year Saudi Abha in January.

The company is currently undergoing a fleet renewal programme and has ordered six new general cargoships.
