Dubai authorities set up new Dubai Maritime Club
Dubai Maritime Club, a not-for-profit initiative geared towards improving the local maritime industry, is being set up by Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) with the help of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).

The Club will focus on Innovation, Communication and Collaboration, with sub-groups and targeted events to address specific technical and economic issues impacting the maritime industry.

“The Dubai Maritime Club embodies the spirit of creativity, teamwork and excellence which Dubai Maritime City Authority upholds as it helps shape Dubai into one of the world’s top maritime hubs,” said DMCA executive director Amer Ali. “It provides a vital venue for discussing and debating the latest and most pressing industry concerns, formulating the best solutions, as well as consolidating the expertise and experiences of stakeholders.

"We are excited to support DMCA in the creation of the new Dubai Maritime Club which will ensure that Dubai's maritime industry evolves at pace and scale, securing new prosperity for the region,” said Ahmed Bin Sulayem, DMCC executive chairman. “Dubai has a strong heritage in the maritime sector and sea trade is a critical part of the city's history and future."
