Oman Drydock Co appoints new ceo
Experienced shiprepair executive Stephan Aumann of Germany has been appointed new ceo of Oman Drydocks Co (ODC) located at the fast developing maritime hub of Duqm in central eastern Oman.

He replaces former ceo Lee Jin Han, from Korean yard DSME, who advised at the end of 2016 that he would be stepping down. DSME is joint operator of ODC in Duqm to the south of Oman.

Aumann, 50, holds a bachelor's degree in naval architecture and a masters degree in industrial engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Kiel.

He also brings with him extensive experience of ship repair and conversion, as well as the oil and gas business, having previously held senior management positions at Curacao Drydock Co, Blohm + Voss, Topaz Engineering, Damen Ship Repair in Gothenburg and private German yard Theodor Buschmann Shipyard, as well as being a past member of the executive board of the German Shipbuilding and Ocean Industries Association (VSM).
