Bunker and lubricant supply services will be offered, including slops disposal, with operations safeguarded by the use of Coriolis flow meters. The use of flow meters ensures against shipowners being short changed in terms of the quantity of bunkers supplied. The service will be provided from the newly launched, 2005-built, 8,250 dwt tanker Wappen von Frankfurt.
Jan Christensen, vice president of physical supply commented, "With our own vessel and control over the supply chain, we are able to provide our customers with the highest quality fuels and lubricants in the most efficient and cost effective way.
"Offshore supply is time-critical and safety is of paramount importance, so it is important that our customers can be assured by the rigour and transparency that define our operations. This is exactly why we have set our own extremely high quality standards, that go over and above the industry requirements and guarantee reliability of supply."
