Pirates take four in West Africa attack
A Singapore-flagged oil-supplying tug, MDPL Continental One, was attacked last week and four crew members taken hostage by pirates.

Speaking with Reuters, two security sources revealed that the crew members, consisting of Indian and Polish, were taken hostage on 13 June, about 30 nm off the Gulf of Guinea coast. 

The gangs carrying out the attacks were already suspects for oil theft and kidnappings on land. Attacks in the region have almost doubled from last year, pushing up insurance costs.
