Singapore is imposing restrictions on navigation and prohibited zones next week in the waters around Sentosa Island where the summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un will be held.

In a circular the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) advised of restricted and prohibited areas of navigation for 48 hours on 12 and 13 June. The summit between Trump and Kim is due to be held at the Capella Hotel on the Singapore resort island of Sentosa on 12 June and the authorities have already announced additional security measures on land.

For the period vessels will be prohibited from passage or anchorage in Selat Sengkir, Keppel Harbour, Cruise Bay and off Sentosa Coast.

Vessel movements will be restricted in the Sisters Fairway and Western Anchorage and the Buran Channel.
