Transocean delays drillship newbuilds at Jurong Shipyard
As the offshore downturn takes its toll Transocean has delayed delivery two drillship newbuildings at Jurong Shipyard by 24 months.

Transocean said it had amended its contract with the Sembcorp Marine subsidiary for two ultra-deepwater drillships by 24 months with delivery now slated for second quarter 2019 and first quarter 2020.

In April Sembcorp’s Singapore rival Keppel Corp said Transocean had requested to delay delivery of five rig newbuildings it had ordered.
