The sentence was handed down by Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People's Court and Sun accepted the judgment.
China’s Central Commission for Discipline opened the investigation on Sun in December 2018. Sun had been officially arrested in January this year. Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People's Court started the private trial on the case in March.
Born in 1961, Sun worked at Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (DSIC) for 27 years and was named as general manager of CSIC in 2015.
