An agreement was signed between Jeffrey Ang, vice president, head of engine and marine systems Asia Pacific for MAN Diesel & Turbo, and Zhou Boting, vice general manager of Xinya, during Marintec China.
Under the agreement Xinya will build a 560 sq m service workshop which is due to be completed in August 2018. From the workshop MAN PrimeServ will provide service for diesel engines, propellers and turbochargers in the new service workshop.
“As MAN’s service brand, MAN PrimeServ is determined to become a preferred service provider,” said Ang at the signing ceremony. “With the establishment of the new service spot, we are closer to the customers, thus being able to provide more efficient and prompt service to the shipowners.”
Xinya repairs 400 vessels annually.
