Oldendorff takes delivery of four newbuilds on the same day

Oldendorff Carriers has celebrated the delivery of five eco-newbuildings – four of which were handed over to the shipowner on the same day.

Three, 61,400 dwt ultramaxes – Jan Oldendorff, John Oldendorff and Julius Oldendorff were delivered by Nantong Cosco KHI Engineering. The vessels are fitted the fuel saving devices of a semi-duct system with contra-fins and rudder bulb system with fins

The John Oldendorff and the Julius Oldendorff have entered long term time charters while the Jan Oldendorff will serve a CoA and spot market cargoes.

The 35,762 dwt handysize Christine Oldendorff was delivered from Samjin Shipyard, and will enter service as the Midland Trader. The vessel has fuel-efficient Wartisila 5RT-flex 50-D of 6,100 Kw main engine and is fitted with a Mewis duct from Becker.

Meanwhile the 81,242 dwt, kamsarmax Kai Oldendorff was delivered by Hantong Shipyard and will be retrofitted with a scrubber next year.

Oldendorff has a remaining orderbook of 38 newbuildings including, 21 owned, 13 time chartered and four bareboat chartered.
