Bangkok-headquartered Regional Container Lines (RCL) is splitting its service between Singapore and Sihanoukville, Cambodia and Songkla, Thailand into two.

RCL's weekly RSZ service that currently calls Sihanoukville – Songkhla – Singapore is being split into two weekly loops.

The new RCX service will call Singapore – Sihanoukville and be served by the 993 teu Bani Bhum, while the RSE service will call Singapore – Songkhla with the 1,036 teu Nanta Bhum deployed. Maiden voyages for the new services will be on 3 October.

“By operating two separate strings, RCL will be able to provide higher capacity as required by our Main Line Operators (MLO) and carrier owned containers (COC) particularly ex Sihanoukville and Songkhla to Singapore,” RCL said.
