Shanghai Hudong-Zhonghua’s boss detained on alleged unlawful practices
The boss of China’s Shanghai Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard has been detained on suspicion of unlawful activities, according to a statement by Shanghai Discipline Inspection Commission.

The brief statement issued on Monday said that Gu Tiquan, chief executive of the subsidiary yard of state-owned China State Shipbuilding Corp (CSSC), has been sent to judicial custody on Monday.

Shanghai Discipline Inspection Commission did not reveal further details on Gu’s suspected violations, but it mentioned that investigations showed “serious violation of the law” by Gu.
