The boxships are designed by SDARI, will have a length of 188.8 metres, a breadth of 17.1 metres and a draught of 9.5 meters.
The vessels, fitted with scrubbers and will be classified by ClassNK, having the advantages of low fuel consumption and large loading capacity, which are aimed at supporting TS Lines to further improve the competitiveness in Asia market.
The boxships are due for delivery starting from June 2021.
Last year, Huangpu Wenchong inked an order twelve 2,038teu boxship orders with another Taiwanese owner Wan Hai Lines. The first vessel will be delivered in January 2021.
Guangzhou Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding is the main production base for naval vessels, special engineering ships and offshore engineering in South China. It currently has two main production bases in Changzhou and Longxue.
