The semi-submersible barge, equipped with lifting capacity of 10,000 tonnes, will be built for Second Harbor Engineering Company (SHEC). subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company.
The newbuilding deal was signed on 10 January and the financial details were not disclosed.
The semi-submersible barge, to be classed by China Classification Society (CCS), is expected to work in China’s coastal line.
