KOTC seeing ‘measurable improvements’ from DNV GL performance management solution

Kuwait Oil Tanker Co (KOTC) says it is seeing “measurable improvements” from implementing DNV GL’s ECO Insight performance management solution across its entire fleet.

KOTC has implemented ECO Insight across its fleet of 28 tankers starting from mid-last year.

“We have started the fleet performance project with the DNV GL ECO Insight team in summer 2017”, said Ali Shehab, deputy ceo fleet operations for KOTC. “And we already see measurable improvements in operating the fleet.”

DNV GL’s ECO Insight monitors performance of the fleet including voyage, hull and propeller, engine and systems performance. Launched in early 2015 it is operation on over 1,900 vessels.
