The offshore vessels, Normand Drott and Normand Prosper, will support Total E&P South Africa’s operations in Block 11B/12B and the drilling program is expected to take up to 280 days. The job is scheduled to start during the first half of 2020.
The 32,792-bhp Normand Drott and the 32,600-bhp Normand Prosper are currently trading in the North Sea spot market.
“This new contract award marks the return of Solstad Offshore to South Africa having supported Total’s previous drilling campaign in in the region during the fourth quarter of 2018 and the first quarter of 2019,” Solstad Offshore stated.
