Suez Canal extends discounts for LNG carriers

The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) is extending discounts for LNG carriers between the US Gulf and India eastwards.

The SCA is extending discounts for both laden and ballast LNG carriers starting from The US Gulf starting from Miami port westwards and ports from the American Gulf ports southwards to Asian ports via the Suez Canal from 1 October 2019 to 30 June 2020.

For vessels to Kochi and ports eastwards to Singapore the discount for tolls will be 50%. For Singapore ports and eastwards the discount will be 75%.
