Most Ukrainian ports operating normally

Most Ukrainian ports operating normally
All ports in political strife torn Ukraine are operating normally except for Sevastopol where special permission is required.

Agents GAC reported that all ports in Ukraine are operating as normal with the exception of Sevastopol in Crimea.

“Vessels entering and leaving the merchant port of Sevastopol are doing so with special permission. Operations at Sevastopol fishing port and the Yugtorsan oil terminal are continuing as usual,” GAC said.

Although Ukraine’s major ports are operating normally, P&I Club Skuld recommended that its members keep a continuous watch on the situation.

“With respect of the Ports of Kherson and in the region of Nikolaev, our correspondents advise that it may be prudent to have crews remain on vessels during any call to port, and in any event remain within port limits. Care may also be needed with respect to Ports of Kerch and Theodosia,” Skuld said in a circular to members.
