Cosco Shipyard bags $100m in offshore newbuild orders

China's Cosco Shipyard Group has bagged orders valued at around $100m to build four emergency response/rescue/field support vessels (ERRVs) and two platform supply vessels (PSVs).

Cosco (Dalian) Shipyard will build the four ERRVs for an Asian company while Cosco (Guangdong) Shipyard will construct the two PSVs for an European shipowner.

The ERRVs are slated for delivery in the first half of 2016 while the PSVs are scheduled for delivery in the first and second quarters of 2016.

The European shipowner has an option to build two more similar PSVs at the Chinese yard, Cosco Shipyard announced.
