Gulfmark Offshore books PSV at Simek

Gulfmark Offshore has booked one platform supply vessel (PSV) newbuilding at Norway’s shipyard Simek.

The shipbuilder will construct the ST-216 Arctic PSV developed by Skipteknisk at its Sandes yard, with delivery scheduled by November 2015, according to Simek.

Financial details of the shipbuilding contract were not disclosed.

US-listed Gulfmark Offshore has taken delivery of two similar 4,700 dwt vessels from Simek recently.

Simek is now sitting on an orderbook of four vessels comprising of three platform supply vessels (PSVs) and one multifunctional support ship.
