M&G gets $10m AHTS deal from Murphy Sarawak

Malaysian offshore supply vessel (OSV) player Marine & General (M&G) has won a MYR 48m ($10,3m) contract for two anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels from Murphy Oil.

The job won by its Jasa Merin unit from Murphy Sarawak Oil is for the provision of two 60MT AHTS vesssels for Murphy’s Sarawak production operations.
The contracts, beginning in August are for a primary duration of three years with two options to extend for an additional one year each, M&G said in a stock market announcement.
The optional portion of the contract could net M&G an additional MYR30m if taken up.
Murphy  Sarawak Oil hold majority interests in eight separate production sharing contracts (PSCs) offshore Sarawak and Sabah according to its website. Total proved reserves as at end-2017 were 52MMBO and 491BCF.
