China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) has signed a RMB15bn ($2.3bn) offshore wind power project with Xingcheng municipal government in Liaoning province.

According to the agreement, the wind power subsidiary of CSSC will provide financial and services support for the offshore wind power project development at Xingcheng city.

The RMB15bn EPC contract includes wind turbines valued at RMB6.8bn.

Last month, the Xingcheng municipal government gave the green light for the offshore wind power project to proceed.
