Ezion clinches service rig contract worth $76m

Singapore’s Ezion Holdings has clinched a contract valued up to $76m to provide a service rig to support a Southeast Asian based national oil company.

The contract is over a period of three years including extension options, Singapore-listed Ezion announced.

“The service rig is expected to be deployed and working in the Southeast Asian waters by end 2016,” Ezion stated.

In its earlier second quarter financial results announcement, Ezion had mentioned that its earnings were boosted by the deployment of more service rigs.

The company is also expecting more units of its service rigs to be deployed in the second half of this year.
