Perdana Petroleum seals $9m one-year AHTS extension from Murphy

Perdana Petroleum, through its unit Perdana Nautika has secured a one-year extension worth MYR30m ($9.4m) on its original two-year contract from Murphy Sabah/Sarawak Oil.

Perdana said in a stock market announcement that under the contract, Perdana Nautika will supply an anchor-handling tug supply vessel to support Murphy’s 2012/2014 shallow water drilling programme, effective 27 June 2014 until 26 June 2015.

The extended contract is expected to contribute to the group’s revenue and earnings for the financial year ending 31 December 2014, and the financial periods for the duration of the extended deal, the company said.
