SapuraKencana said the contracts won were by its SapuraKencana GE Oil & Gas Services unit, which is a joint venture between SapuraKencana Services and GE Power Systems (Malaysia).

Murphy Sarawak Oil Co Ltd awarded SapuraKencana GE Oil & Gas Services a long-term maintenance contract to provide maintenance services for GE-
supplied gas turbines and centrifugal compressors for 10 years.

Petronas Floating LNG1 (L) Ltd also awarded SapuraKencana GE Oil & Gas Services a contract to maintain GE-supplied aeroderivative gas turbines, centrifugal compressors and electric generators and electric motors. The contract is also a long-term 10-year deal with optional five-year extension.

Meanwhile its drilling services arm sealed a contract extension from BP Trinidad & Tobago LLC for its semi-submersible tender assist drilling rig SKD Jaya.

BP has extended the use of the SKD Jaya for another well in its development drilling campaign offshore Trinidad and Tobago and the rig is set to remain on contract until April this year.
