In this latest in conversation episode of the Maritime Podcast Marcus Hand talks with Erik Hånell and take the listener on a deep dive into the thinking behind Stena Bulk’s InfinityMax concept design, and how all, or parts of the design, which combines wet and dry bulk through a modular design, could be adopted in the coming years.
Speaking about the modular design Hånell says in the podcast: “Our thought behind this is in the future we believe logistics will be more and more sophisticated so we believe we shouldn’t be stopped just by having liquid bulk and dry bulk.”
Discussions also focus on future fuel choices including methanol and hydrogen, and how shipping will meet its decarbonization targets in both the near and longer term.
