China Merchants Port and CMA CGM strengthen collaboration

The Chinese port operator China Merchants Port has entered into strategic cooperation Momorandum of Understanding with CMA CGM.

According to the agreement, the two parties will establish middle and long-term cooperation on vessel calls, terminal services, logistics, technology innovation and regional major project development. 

“China Merchants Port and CMA CGM have clear advantages in their respective fields. CMA CGM has been an important partner of China Merchants Port and we are providing high-quality and efficient service to CMA CGM. Signing of the agreement lays a solid foundation for deepening our cooperation,” said Lu Yongxin, COO and general manager of China Merchants Port.

Early in 2013 China Merchants became a 49% shareholder in Terminal Link with CMA CGM, the joint venture has interests in over 50 terminals.
